Florida is an extremely popular and affordable wedding destination. It offers tropical breezes, sun soaked beaches, crystal clear springs and more adventures than one could possibly imagine. It is the perfect destination for couples wishing to combine the romance of a beach wedding with the adventure of an exciting honeymoon!

There are so many great Florida beaches and attractions. It is hard to pick "just one" perfect spot! There are over 1200 miles of warm, glistening, white sand beaches to choose from! Jutting 450 miles into the Atlantic, the Florida peninsula has no point more than 60 miles from its coastline. The temperate to sub-tropical climate makes it a year-round playground.

Having moved to this area eight years ago from the "Great White North", I am thankful everyday for the privilege of living on the ocean! I frequently take a "road trip" or just "go rambling" to see more of what Florida has to offer. The history is fascinating, the wildlife is awesome and nowhere can you see a more beautiful sunset!

Florida is truly Mother Nature at her best, and yes...sometimes at her worst!Official Hurricane Season runs from June 1st through November 30th of each year. September and October seem to be peak hurricane months. Everyone, I am sure watched in amazement last year as Florida was battered by three differentstorms. Why do we stay? For me...the beauty outweighs the danger. Even a hurricane is a fascination to me. It is amazing to see and hear such devistating wind and rain. You take cover and ride out the storm. When the wind and rain subsides, you look outside and are greeted by beautiful, warm, sunny skies!Destruction beyond belief but...sunny skies! The powers of nature are amazing and definitely to be revered! But...the sun is shinning and as they say down here..."aw..it'll be alright"!

And hey...2006 was HURRICANE FREE!!! Everyone had something to celebrate this year!

So, if you are planning your wedding in Florida, you may want to avoid hurricane season if you are not the adventurous type. But that's okay because anytime is summertime in Florida!

Trust me...you will LOVE IT!
